Design/Art Initiatives accomplished during postgraduate degree studies include
2009- 10 Currently working on a series of Rapid Prototyped and Laser cut jewellery that can be reassembled in many ways, exploring tactility and presenting technology as organic.
2009 Summer Project, working with Anarkik 3D, developing the use of haptic
interface Cloud9 as a tool for intuitive 3D modeling, alongside CAD
package Rhino
Design/Art Initiatives accomplished during degree studies include
2007 ‘Ripe group show’ silver, fake hair, fishing line & mixed media on paper
Work dealt with consumerism and the transient/throwaway nature of identity. The concept of labeling and value are explored.
2007 ‘Manufactured’ laser cut brass, silver & digital print
An installation using identical tiled images (groups of nearly identical faces) with one brass unit. Within the brass unit, two of the faces are removed to become earrings. Jewellery is also sculpture, and the audience becomes a participant.
2007 ‘Amidst group Show’ etched brass & copper, printed textile & intaglio print
Work investigated the impact of mass production on identity. This installation made up of jewellery explored the idea of taking things that were all the same, then changing a unit, to comment on the sameness of the others.
